Training and resources to support persons with developmental disabilities with the growth of self-advocacy groups is available in Florida.
If you are interested in developing a new independent self-advocacy group or receiving assistance with the development of an existing group, this is your opportunity.

Self-advocacy groups that are selected to participate in this project will receive training, technical assistance, and grants up to $4,000 plus travel expenses related to participation in training events.
This project is sponsored by the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, Inc., and the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Developmental Disabilities. The Center on Human Policy at Syracuse University is under contract with the Florida Developmental Disabilities Council, Inc. to develop grassroots self-advocacy groups in the State of Florida.
