THE LATEST ADDITIONS TO THE CENTER ON HUMAN POLICY WEB SITE

This page lists the latest additions to the Center's web site, including direct links to the newest information. It is designed to make finding new material easier for frequent visitors.

Some documents are available in PDF format and are denoted with the Adobe PDF icon: PDF Icon

Also some documents may be available in Rich Text Format (RTF) or in Microsoft Word 97. Please contact The Center on Human Policy if you have any problems accessing these documents.

All of the files in Abode "PDF" format can be downloaded with the Acrobat Reader Plug-In program which is available free from Adobe Systems. Access.adobe.com is a free server that enables people with visual impairments to read any Acrobat document on the web using any standard web browser.

We have now included information on Resources Available from Self Advocates Becoming Empowered, including the new Self-Advocacy Start-Up Tool Kit. The Center's Human Policy Press has had a long time agreement with SABE to distribute their resources.

Information on the new Certificate of Advanced Study in Disability Studies at Syracuse University and updated Student Information has been added to the information on the Disability Studies Concentration at Syracuse University.

April 6, 2001

Frequently Asked Questions by Authors of Manuscripts Submitted to Mental Retardation has been updated and includes important information on AAMR's policy on manuscripts accepted for publication and the Internet.

Walking Toward Freedom: One Family's Journey Into Self-Determination PDF Icon is a new publication by John O'Brien and Connie Lyle O'Brien and is cross referenced in our page of resources on Self-Determination.

Our list of Resources and Reports on Community Inclusion has been updated to include newer publications available on a variety of topics.

The SELF-ADVOCACY AND SELF-DETERMINATION section has been separated into their own respective category as follows: SELF-ADVOCACY and SELF-DETERMINATION. A new section has also been created: INDIVIDUALIZED FUNDING.
