Self-Advocacy is...
- Having pride in yourself
- Speaking up for yourself
- People first...disabilities second
- Showing that you can do anything you set your mind to
- Standing up for your principles and helping others do the same
- A group that works for and by the people

What Do We Want?
- To live, work, learn and play alongside people without disabilities
- To end discrimination against people who happen to have disabilities
What Have We Done?
Since our inception in 1986 we have...
- Joined forces with various coalitions
- Attended national and state conferences
- Hosted luncheons with lawmakers
- Sponsored annual conferences on self-advocacy
- Made presentations at various events
- Recently starting writing to other people with disabilities all over the world through ICQ chats

How Do We Do It?
- We hold monthly meetings to discuss common issues and concerns
- With the use of technoogy we have been able to deliver better services
- We sponsor fundraisers
- We plan conferences, luncheons, and other events for our members and the community
- We have built a positive character within our community
- We believe in ourselves!

How Can I Help?
