The Center on Human Policy, through several of its funded projects and activities, has developed the following position statements on critical issues:

• A STATEMENT OF COMMON PRINCIPLES ON LIFE-SUSTAINING CARE AND TREATMENT OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

• A Statement In Support Of Families And Their Children - This statement affirms that all children, regardless of disabilities belong with families.
  

• A Statement of Common Principles on Home and Community Supports for Elderly Persons and People with Disabilities - This statement was created by a newly-formed coalition, "There's No Place Like Home": A Coalition of Groups in Favor of Home and Community Supports.

• In Support of Adults Living in the Community - This statement supports the position that all adults deserve the opportunity to live in their homes, partipicate in all aspects of community life, and pursue individual lifestyles.
  

• Center on Human Policy Position Statement on the Facilitated Communication (FC) Controversy - This statement is a response to the controversy surrounding FC and states the belief that people with disabilities have a right to different communication aids and strategies to enable to express themselves.
  

• Letter of Protest to Alan Gleitsman on the Award to Jack Kevorkian

• PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES ARE ENTITLED TO DIGNITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE: A STATEMENT IN OPPOSITION TO HONORING DR. JACK KEVORKIAN

• "DEATH WITH DIGNITY" FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT DYING?: THE GLEITSMAN FOUNDATION IS WRONG THAT KEVORKIAN STANDS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE

• A Position Statement on Managed Care and Long-Term Supports in Developmental Disabilities - This statement is a collaborative effort and provides definitive principles and values for people with developmental disabilities and managed care.
